Nikon has just launched a firmware update for some camera products like the D3100, D3200, D5100, D5200 and Coolpix P7700. The update was launched by Nikon in November. After doing the update, there are some Nikon camera users who find any problems.
The problem is after the update, the camera can not use additional battery from third party like the EN-EL14 or EN-EL14a. This is not the first time happened. Previously, similar update that provided by Panasonic for Panasonics’ camera also has a similar problem.
There is no way that can be used by users of Nikon to roll back to the conditions before doing the update. There has been no official statement from the Nikon about the problem. We hope Nikon solve the problem as soon as possible.
